I hope you feel better soon!

Potassium overdose can kill you.
Having too low isn't all that and a bag of chips either. Did that twice after having a GI bug. Both times I wound up in the ER to get IVs and Potassium IV. First time I wound up in the hospital with contractures. Pretty danged scary!

Afternoon everyone

I set here this morning waiting for my doctor to call for a tele-appointment. Omicron is so bad here that you can't swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting somebody trying to hack a lung out from it. I figured I'd pushed my luck with being exposed to crap in general since September (where the woman across the hall from me in the ER had the big Covid) that I'd better lay low again until this latest variant died down.

He was an hour late then forgot what I had called about....a refill on my pain meds please. thank you.:he

Y'all are so lucky to have had your grandparents in your life. My dad's mom lived a thousand miles away in Pennsylvania and in all honesty wasn't a very likeable person. She gave my father up for adoption when he was 7 for reasons only she knew. They 'reconciled' later in life but there was never any real closeness.

My mother's mother died when my mom was 13. Funny story. She was a ummm well, she was a madam. Mom's stepmother was another cold distant person much like my paternal grandmother. My mom's dad was a child molester so mom kept us at a distance from them.

My dad's dad disappeared when my dad was little. Went out for a beer at the corner pub and never came back. All anyone can find to fill in the blank years was his death certificate.

I used to chew out my friends who would complain about having to visit their grandparents. What treasures they can be.
I hope it all blows over soon there!

My Grand parents lived within 5 miles from us. We saw them a lot growing up.

Take care, Jane.

Pharmacy finally got the paperwork needed for Toms ensure. Now have to wait for insurance to make a decision. This has been in the works for close to 3 months now.
It's so crazy! I have been trying to get a 90 day refill by mail of a medication i have been on for over 30 years. Had to talk to the drug company, 3 different people, and finally found out that the Drs office still didn't send the ok. I can't tell you how frustrating this is. I was out of pills for several days, which can cause a major depressive episode.
I just called the doctor office and he hasn't documented addressing my depression since December of last year. Duh. and then of course i need a covid test to see the doctor. All to get my regular medication for a 90 day supply.
I think i see why people go postal.

You need a covid test just to see your doctor? OMG! You are kidding me! No I know you aren't that is just the most outrageous thing I've heard this week.

I could have seen my doctor in person. EVERYONE has to wear a mask who comes into the office. Doctor and his staff are all wearing masks.

I know the doctor's logic is that this keeps staff safe, blah blah blah, but with the shortage of tests right now it almost sounds like a bit of overkill.

With all the doctors and hospitals along with endoscopy centers I've been in the past 4 months nobody has asked me to test for covid. Nor have they made a big deal out of it when they ask me if I've been vaccinated and I tell them no. I come in with an N95 mask on and leave it on until they are wheeling me into whatever suite I need to be in then they tell me, you can take off your mask now.

I make it a point to tell them, I'm wearing my mask not only to protect me from you but you from me also.

I can't believe the hoops they are making you jump through.
