Granny's gone and done it again

Jane, prayers for you. Heal quickly.
Becky, Im sorry you had such lousy GPs.
Cap, give em hell. They got it coming.
Robert is sick Not sure what to do.
Thanks Granny, I have to say this about my GP. When he's good, he's very good and when he isn't he's a pain in the butt. My husband overheard the conversation as I had the phone on speaker. When we hung up I looked at DH and said. Hurry Hurry. He was running late today. My husband the retired eye doctor said. I never treated a patient like that and I can attest to that. He didn't.

As for Robert being sick. The weekend is here. We had a saying in the facility I used to work clinical in. When in doubt, send them out.

Better to be wrong then make a big error. So with that thought in mind, if you are suspecting he is sick and if you suspect it is influenza or God forbid, Covid, or even worse what the press is calling fluvid, (sic) Or is it flovid--a combination of the two, call his doctor and talk to a nurse before they close for the weekend.

Kevins boss called and said Kevin cant come back because he went to take care of a boy that has covid. The boy is wheelchair bound and lives w/ his 80 yr old dad who also has covid. So he is purposely exposing himself to take care of this boy. I dont know what to think about that. On one hand I think he is stupid but I know the man well enough to not leave them hanging with no help.

Didn’t Kevin all ready have it? Was Kevin vaccinated?

Having too low isn't all that and a bag of chips either. Did that twice after having a GI bug. Both times I wound up in the ER to get IVs and Potassium IV. First time I wound up in the hospital with contractures. Pretty danged scary!
Yep either way at a certain point it must be called stat to dr to take liability off lab.

You need a covid test just to see your doctor? OMG! You are kidding me! No I know you aren't that is just the most outrageous thing I've heard this week.

I could have seen my doctor in person. EVERYONE has to wear a mask who comes into the office. Doctor and his staff are all wearing masks.

I know the doctor's logic is that this keeps staff safe, blah blah blah, but with the shortage of tests right now it almost sounds like a bit of overkill.

With all the doctors and hospitals along with endoscopy centers I've been in the past 4 months nobody has asked me to test for covid. Nor have they made a big deal out of it when they ask me if I've been vaccinated and I tell them no. I come in with an N95 mask on and leave it on until they are wheeling me into whatever suite I need to be in then they tell me, you can take off your mask now.

I make it a point to tell them, I'm wearing my mask not only to protect me from you but you from me also.

I can't believe the hoops they are making you jump through.
But n95 only protects you.
