Granny's gone and done it again

Is fairly easy. Heat milk to 180, cool to 110. Add yogurt starter, which can be some purchased plain yogurt, mix well. I put mine in half-pint jars, put lids on. Place jars in warm place for 4-6 hours, refrigerate over night without disturbing. Enjoy!

My warm place is a roasting pan containing a few inches warm water in oven with light on.

I make 15 jars, using 3 qt 2% organic milk and a packet of dry starter powder I get from Amazon, but you can Google how much milk to how much fresh yogurt. You can also use a slow cooker and do it all in one pot. Google is your friend! A candy thermometer is a good investment!
So can you use skim milk or does it take whole? We only drink fortified skim. But I do have Chobani plain Greek yogurt on hand so it would be fun to try if I can do it with skim milk.

What are y'all doing at the doctors? I had an appointment with my DO last week and wound up changing it to a telephone appt. I told them, you guys are up to your eyeballs with omicron people now. No way I'm comin in unless I'm carrying my head under my arm.

Seriously. I've been pressing my luck since Sept when I was in the ER and the patient across the hall from me had the original Covid. One endoscopy outpatient center, two doctors' offices and a hospital later and it's like...um, I'm just begging to get bad sick. I told him I'd be in after the omicron dies down. Plus we had friends who got OC over the Christmas holiday and they were taking all the precautions they could think of.

Roberts dr finally called me back. said for him to take flonase and mucinex.
Pain dr told me to use diabetic lotion on my legs.
I've used Flonase for more years than I can count...40 years? Yikes.

It takes it about 5 days to a week to kick in. It has a cumulative effect so the longer you take it the better it works. So make sure he sticks with it and doesn't miss a dose.
