Thanks, Granny and Axe, for the explanations about my funky egg! It's been a real education, having chickens ... you'd think an egg is an egg is an egg, but no! There is always something new and interesting to learn about chickens and eggs, it seems! And this iz definitely the place to learn!

I remember getting eggs like that every now and again. Here's a couple of funky ones I took a photo of. The squishy one was a beginner layer.

Yup, I got a few of those. And of course a few fairy eggs. And the other day I got a "horse" egg, looks to be a double-yolker, lol! They do keep us guessing, don't they! How you feeling tonight, Mrs. Woozles?
