Reservoirs. Is that where the main water comes from?

Yeah, that and wells. Most places here you're not allowed to pull water from a river. There is a system of aqueducts and canals that carry water to where it's needed. Lot of it goes to southern CA, aka "the desert."

Just went to the next little town over to pick up a new surge protector and buy some groceries. I figured with the lightning frying my phone charger the old protector must be shot.

Remember how I've been having issues with the IRS about not getting my third stimulus? I don't even know how the heck this happened. We did get it. They sent me a pic of the cashed check - yep our handwriting experts say this was you....look at it...well flock me.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Well, if I do get a bonus this year, aside from how much the IRS ALREADY takes from it...they'll get some more. Sigh. Wish me luck as I try to contact them maybe tomorrow and find out how much I owe now (darn interest will play a factor since they took SO FREAKING LONG) and yeah.

Hi Granny! Yes , i worked on cleaning the goat shed. Took out a Mule load of dirty bedding. Dug up a new place to plant some wheat. Loads of rocks in that soil! Spent a lot of time getting rid of the rocks. It will be easier to dig next time.

and the breadbasket. It blows my mind driving through imperial county how much stuff is growing in the middle of the freaking desert.

Further up north too, there's a lot of farmland.

I probably ask way too many questions.. I should of studied a little harder at school. It wasnt til I was old did I wish I could go back to school.

If you don't ask questions how will you learn things? And it's not things that you'd need to worry about day to day in your life - the state of water and water rights in California - so.....
