Sixteen. And yeah, you're right. But he has always been an incredibly fussy eater. Veggies? He'd rather die! Until now. :lau The academy has been amazing for him.

Putty won't work for plastic pipe, Granny. Not if it's not threaded pipe. It needs to be painted with primer and then pvc glue used on it. We always use plumbers tape with threaded non pvc pipe or with threaded metal pipe.

They have a new thing out called alligator pipe fittings. No glue needed on them. They are pricy but we saw our plumber back in IL use them. Easy peasy and no leaks. When we replumbed our shower and installed an on demand hot water tank for it we used them. never had a leak.

Well, took the tree down today. Decided that next year no big tree. It's too hard to lug that thing up and down the stairs to the attic which is really an unfinished upstairs room that we use for storage. DH suggested two small trees and set them on the TV speakers where we can enjoy them. I have the trees so I'll make it so next year.

Two roosters with frost bite. One will lose a couple points and the other will lose half his comb. Big dummy. I can tell he didn't have his head under his wing deep enough. The shed has enough air leaks that I'm not worried about ventilation and the fact that none of the other bachelors with big floppy combs have damage tell me the whole story. The two points the other rooster has damaged looks like he had his head under his wing but not far enough. I'm glad we are coming out of this rough spell. I'm tired of hauling hot water out to the coop 4 times a day with the wind so strong it hurts and makes my eyes water.

It does get old , hauling water. My frost free hydrant froze!

I had an apartment once that didn't have a sink in the "kitchen". So i had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. It sucks.
