Granny's gone and done it again

No. Most of my life I have avoided drs like the plague! Our health plan switched a couple years back and I haven't needed anything so far. It's a huge HMO, Kaiser Permanente. I did try to sign up for a gp online, but it didn't work. Finally got ahold of a live human being on the phone and got a # for someone who can help me sign up. Now I just have to find that number...
You've been blessed with good health also then. I've never been to a doctor until 2011 when I had a couple of mini strokes. Was in the hospital for a couple of days while they ran all the tests and found nothing. So they pat me on the rear and sent me on my way and said good luck. Been doing good since.

Wow! Lucky guy

Thank you. Lupin was prettier in person. Wish it showed in the pictures. We got him because his feathers have a purple hugh, and that was #2's favorite color. His little 5 yr old self was soooo excited about a purple bird! I looked it up and there is a parakeet gene for purple, so Lupin had one gene, because he was only purple-ish. You can see the blue-gray cast to his feet, while the white girl has pink feet.
I used to raise birds. Parakeets were the best sellers!

Yes. Pretty much daily and the sweetener if any, is honey to taste. The problem we've encountered in using honey, is that if you don't add enough it actually tastes gross. So if you try it and don't initially like it, it could be because you didn't add enough honey.
I just bought some honey. I will try it in my coffee.

Good afternoon!
In 2012-ish certain gas stations had Chunky Monkey cappuccino, it was decidedly gross after the third swallow. I got a large size because I was a bit tired and I needed to drive 220-ish miles. One of my friends raved about how good it was so I tried it, I also added an extra shot of caffeine.
Boy oh boy! Sleep was the LAST thing on my mind, I was almost trippin' the whole way! The really good thing that came out of it was that it created a permanent vehement distaste for it. I was lit up for close to eight hours.

We have it nice in that we have a goat that we milk for milk. Every morning and evening we get some, so it's as fresh as you can get it.

Wait! What? Sardines are one of the finest foods out there!!
:drool :drool :drool :drool :drool
Nothing like a sardine on a saltine.

Oh! He's so ugly he's cute. Poor little thing. Hope God has blessed him with a loveable personality to make up for the lacking in the 'looks' dept.

We had rain here last night. Today it is 60. In the middle of January, in the midwest. Go figure.

Thought you might like to see some of my winter projects. Part of my heritage is Native American. I am Cherokee. To quote Chief Black Elk "I am an Indian. If you have one drop of Indian blood in your veins, then you are Indian."

With that thought in mind I have been delving into my Cherokee lineage and dabbling in some NA art. The first and third pictures are a gourd rattler I am making. Since the design wraps around the gourd head it's hard to get it all in one picture. I have a lot of work to do on it. Just started shading out the feathers and still have to add a lot of detailing.

The middle is a picture of the two choker necklaces I have made. These are from kits and the top one is real bone beads and abalone. The second is plastic. DH got the top one for me for Christmas. I wanted to see which material I liked the best so I got the bottom one. I like the natural bone ones better so now plan to branch out and design my own.

I also have a beading loom that I have set up and ready to go. I used to do bead work when I was in high school but got away from it. Figure if I don't pursue my interests now, I'm never going to do it. I'm also trying to learn a little Cherokee. THAT is the tough one.

Yes, I got dealt a pretty good hand, gene wise. I have a confession though, I did have a problem last November... pretty serious heart attack. Went to the ER in the morning, got tests, sent to San Francisco for angiography that afternoon, where they found a 90% blockage in the biggest artery and put in a stent. I was back home the next day. Little more than 24 hr ordeal. All the other arteries are clear and I don't have high cholesterol or any other problems. Just have to take some meds for a year, and blood thinners forever. I won't see the cardiologist for a year. He said my problem is fixed, I'm otherwise healthy and can go another 30 yrs.
