Granny's gone and done it again

do you have an idea of what would be a good breed? laid back, smart enough to house break fairly easy? Med. sized
Adult lab or retriever... they are generally good natured, playful, and low maintenance.
Adult hound might be good, but I have less experience with those. Redbone coon hound would be my choice.
What about another Cocker? Or any spaniel.

Puppy training for you guys would be a huge amount of work, and I think the burden would fall on you too much.

That chick isn't albino... it has yellow skin and beak. Something wrong with its eyes though.

St. B would be laid back like most large breed dogs from mastiff lines. They have short life spans, lots of health problems, and the drooling will be epic.
I think I shared some photos of our daughters mastiff. She loves the breed. They also have health issues. I think the..x..tra large dogs usually do. She keeps the most imaculate home. She's the one that came and cleaned my house after Scott passed. My walls, shampooed my carpets, more! She said, you were so busy with dad you couldn't keep up. (I don't normally wash my walls) 😁 That's her in the middle of the photo of family. A daughter of hers isn't in that one. This is one of Scott's daughters..but mine too. ❤️She’s a nurse in delivery, and also travels for hospice. Out of state. Gets good money for that! I have no idea how she keeps going like she does. Time will finally come when she will have to slow down.

the only reason I say puppy is because of bandit fighting that other dog and getting used to the cats.

Thats a lot of dog!

Setters are great. Sweet digs. Gentle. I had a couple of them. Well three. English and Gordon. You would definitely want an older one, not a pup..three..ish. I just looked up the most laid back breeds. Couldn't believe the Whippet was on there. They need exercise like no other. Setters too, but can be happy with a walk. Pug..no! Health issues. Certain spaniels would be OK. My favorite is still the Golden.

Still snowing! Made a trip that only takes literally a few minutes to drive to. Little Wallyworld is what I call it. Took photos while driving..back road, no traffic until a plow came along. Gave him a big wave, he gave a big one back. Sure appreciate their time. They are out all hours of the night for us. Then a photo for fun at my destination.
