Granny's gone and done it again

I've decided my chickens have vacationed long enough. I'm starting to add light to both ends of their days and we'll see if we can get them back in production. I'm turning a light on in the hen house at 5 am when I walk Jenny, and turning it off at 7 om. That should give them 24 hours of light.

My baby chicks should arrive Friday.
what kind did you get?

You mean 14 hours don't you?

I'm as far north as I ever want to live ever again. Michigan was hard on me but I didn't learn my lesson. Missouri taught me a lesson but didn't stop me from trying out TN.... I've learned my lesson now.
Mi was a lot of snow but this place has beautiful ice storms. We were stranded once. Couldnt get the doors open for a few days and stuck in the driveway for a solid week. Someone brought me supplys to the top of the road. Shoot, couldnt even open the van doors for a while.
