Granny's gone and done it again

Granny beat me to it with Google. The reason they tip their heads back to drink is because their tongues are virtually useless for the task. As a child, I remember being told also that the reason they tipped their heads back is to thank God for the drink, and to remind us to do the same. I like that answer, too! 😉

@LTAY, I'm glad to hear your rooster is improving! I'm a little worried about you coghing and sneezing, hope it's not serious.

Baby chicks 3 weeks old yesterday, not so cute any more! They're in that homely, awkward pinfeather stage, lol. And their poop stinks now! Even almost right after we clean their bin. So ... we'll be moving them to the outside brooder very soon, possibly tomorrow. We separated them into two bins the other night as they were getting a bit crowded. Growing up they are! (Pics tomorrow maybe, depends how dirty they are, lol!)
