My step-dad used to stand over us griping that we were peeling them too thick, using a knife. Had to put up with him yelling at me every time about it, no matter how careful I was. Today I still use a knife but I peel without paying much attention to it at all. Usually on the thick side though.Ive tried both of those things. Robert will help if I am in there He will peel taters and such as he tells me Im doing things wrong. lol
Blue legs on the Cornish mixes probably indicate Jersey Giant as the sire.As soon as the boss gets up I got to do the chores. BTW 2 of the new chicks are from those big old Cornish Rock girls. Finally figured out why I had two chicks growing like poke weeds in a well fertilized garden. They are a cross between a White Giant roos and the roaster strain of those fast growing Cornish Rock Cross. One appears to be be a roo and the other a pullet. We also got some crosses from our Dark Cornish. Don't know which way or how but I know that those chipmunk kids with dark blue legs are not pure anything. Dark Cornish had yellow legs and and chipmunk feathers. I was after some meat mutts to breed something new with and I got them now.
Oh, I know what it's all about.Same here Granny. Ma is putting up the cards to day. Christmas is a commercialized event that gets worse every year I think. Most don't even know the origin of the holiday. Not even those who attend church without fail.
I think so too. Those don't free range and haven't for some months now. I have a White Jersey Giant Rooster in with them.... That was the plan. I'm hoping to take 3 of the 6 and put them in another pen and AI them to my big Cornish Cross Rooster. I want to see how fast those grow and if they have any health issues as a second generation cross. If they don't that is good in a way but it says something about how they got them to grow to fast I think.Blue legs on the Cornish mixes probably indicate Jersey Giant as the sire.
The blue legs on the chipmunk chicks could be from White Jersey Giants or Bresse. Either way it is a winner for me.Blue legs on the Cornish mixes probably indicate Jersey Giant as the sire.
No they live in a small town. They are LDS ,Mormon. Huge family Huge communitySo you didn't tell me how she markets them. Does she have her own bakery? Those look professional.
What caught my attention too is that they have a double looking breast. They are almost big enough now for a single serving.Blue legs on the Cornish mixes probably indicate Jersey Giant as the sire.
