Honestly, I know we don't own it. But I also know the owners are absentee who only come around during hunting season. Everything is densely wooded and trees break or come down all the time. They won't know or care if we or the county take care of it.

Hope you had a good day. I've been busy all day! Baked 2 loaves of bread, fixed chicken food and got a dishpan full of little potatoes ready to can. Larry grilled porkchops so I prepared the vegetables to go with them. Then I helped him do chicken chores this afternoon. I'm pooped!

I had a brief nap and then picked a handful of the first green beans. Not enough for a meal. Going to run water on them tonight as we didn't get enough rain to dirty a windshield. I have 6 pork chops on the grill that almost cover the top of the Weber. Might could make room for one more. After the sun gets low around 6 I'll finish replanting the beans. Summer peas did get finished this morning. I'm going nuclear on the fire ants in the garden. Not many things to use on them in a garden but I have the one I now and trust. It's hard to kill the queen but it will kill the queens army.

Not really. Originally it was close to 100 acres when his folks bought it back in the 60s. When his dad died in the 90's, his mom split it between the 3 kids. My DH got 10 acres and the house, and the sister and brother split the remainder. The brother eventually sold his and moved, and the sister built a house and leased most of the land to cattle people. I asked her once if she minded her brother getting the house and she said No, because "he also got Mom." Lol. I didn't mind, I liked the old gal. I think we had her about 8 years before she died. I enjoyed her.
