Granny's gone and done it again

I ended up sleeping in my recliner last night bc there was a tick in my bed. First it was on my leg biting me. I grabbed it and jumped out of bed to go throw it in the sink or toilet or somewhere but once I stood up I realized I didn't have it! So I looked all over in the sheets and bedclothes but couldn't find it so I gave up and went upstairs. Nasty things. I need a flamethrower.

They can have that too
Of course they can! But they can have my share of the other stuff, lol.

I know someone that has that tick thing. Or at least they highly suspect they do because all of a sudden as of several years ago they can’t eat anything from a mammal anymore.
They should get checked. My GC's dr gave her an EpiPen, apparently she could actually go into anaphylactic shock if she accidentally ingests something she shouldn't.

I hate seafood lol even fish.

And oh wow that’s scary!!! I don’t think theirs is quite that bad so maybe they don’t have it? Idk. They can eat dairy and stuff too so I’m not sure. But they just can’t eat any mammals like beef, pork, etc.

It's still mostly cloudy and I've haven't got much done but did get an important thing done with the brooder. I have a partition installed to I can keep some older chicks in one end and newly hatched in the other. In about 3 weeks I'll have 25 chicks arriving. 15 Cream Legbars and 10 Saipans. Need to get two more coops built. Most of the Saipans will be sold. I'll keep a pair of roosters and all the pullets and sell the roosters as novelty breeders. The Saipans stand on average about 30" tall. Tall enough to eat off of some dining tables standing flat footed. The ones that are 36" tall are the two roos I'm hoping to have as breeders. It would be nice to get 6 pullets so I could use two coops for a roo and 3 pullets. My luck I'll get 2 pullets and 8 roos. They are only sold str run so I take what I get and run with it.

I'm going to rest until after lunch now and then go out and start organizing to plant okra and 2 more rows of peas. I think one row of black eyed peas and one row of purple hull pink eyed peas so I can get a fair comparison of which we may like better and which produces the most. We are already preparing to lower the size of the gardens in exchange for Muscadine grapes and more blackberries and a few raspberries. Then some raised beds with strawberries. We have enough space to eventually produce one to two tons of Muscadines. Can market the muscadines at about $2 a pound. There is no bending to pick the berries or muscadines and that is important.
