Granny's gone and done it again

Sorry all but its been a WEEK of H3LL , From 6:30 am on Friday morning until Midnight Sunday about 4 hours of cat naps. Ended up taking Beth in for an emergency C-section. She still had 2 pups in her even tho the x-ray only showed 1. The vets managed to save/bring back to life one of them who passed Tuesday evening. Beth and the 3 living pups are doing well, Toes and Tails were done Weds afternoon. After I got into a bit of an argument with the Vet tech. NO I want a 1/3 of the tails left on. Don't care what the vet researches is standard for Springers as there is NO standard all the rules say is tail must be docked. Also these are field trials/breed not the show type.

C-section was 2300 and change all told and the toes and tails another 90+. Guess who's going in the hole on the litter. BUT, I will have Beth for a number of years now and pretty sure I have at least 3 out of the people who claimed they wanted pups. 2 males and a female. all liver and white.

A lot of vets list an emergency number BUT if your animal hasn't been seen by them before "tuff nuts ,try someone else" also had one SOB ask why I had bred Beth as she was to old. (this still bugs me)
Sorry twist. I have had had it happen with no living pups. Being a breeder is hard. How old is Beth?

My niece the Vet had never heard of walking a dog in labor to help her whelp. Said it was "interesting" BUT that most vet's don't breed/raise pups and "real breeders" know a lot more about that, than most vets. I thought you would like this compliment/affirmation. I know it work for me twice.
Great! Yeah most vets get no schooling on breeding dogs. If she wants more tips we have a fabulous Facebook group I can invite you or her to. We have oodles of info in the files on the group also.

She's 9. Sat's vet is a springer man. He really liked Beth, told him he should she her daughter (star)

He said it was the hardest/tuffest c-cetion/spay he has ever done. Her female parts and blood supply to them were still high and tight instead of stretched out like an older dog.

Yeah you know your dogs. I am glad you found a vet to do it. I have friends that have stopped breeding because good vet is so scarce
