Granny's gone and done it again

Well he hasn’t gotten into his awkward ears too big phase yet - but that’s coming ;) but his paws started growing. He’s now into the klutzy phase.

Had a vet appointment last weekend. 12 lbs. still up every two hours and still working on the housebreaking.

He has been keeping me constantly busy. He’s in the monch all the things phase…sigh. But I will say this. I think having Kira around is good for teaching him bite control. For a shark tooth baby I’m not bleeding as much as I could be lol.

Granny- how’s all in your hood? Once again I can’t catch up.

Beautiful, Star! Kira has that "big sister" look. This is growing her up.

Things not so good at Granny's, Hon. She fell ... Sunday, I think. Cracked a rib. Went to ER. Tom's DD came to stay with Tom and somebody else took her to hosp. She's barely been on since then, just enough to let us know she's hurting but hanging in there. Tom took a face plant and broke his nose before that. We're hurting for them both.

Oh When on the road it usually is Mt. Dew to do a caffeine load for the road so we both stay awake. Much longer road trip tomorrow. Home Depot run and maybe even Lowes too. First stop is the farmers market for peaches. I did get needed poultry dust today to treat what I think I might be seeing as poultry mites. :idunno
This! For mites!! Works better than anything on the market for chickens. Why? It's so so easy to apply. Works fast! And no waiting for eggs after application. And, cheap!
Apply to butt, under wings, under neck, belly, back, yes, a little here and there. The "powder" stuff never worked completely for me.
Not sure where you can find it other than a pet store or Amazon/Walmart, online.

Ooo..he's good looking!
Not sure you know by now.
Granny fell, broke a rib, tore some thigh ligaments.
Edit, I see blue told you. Yes, poor Tom too. I think Granny was doing so much for him that her poor legs gave out.
:(

Yes, and she wasn't getting enough sleep, poor lady. That's probably why she fell.

So precious!

Ok then! Austin went to a specialist. Urologist. Should have gone there first. He looked at all of his labs, ultra sound, CT, and says, you don't have an infection. Austin woke up this morning with sore hands which he had been told by the pharmacist he could get joint problems with. The dr today asks, 8 weeks, you've been on Antibiotics for 8 weeks?? Stop them now.
He explained some things about this area that's bothering him and told him he had actually seen this a few times. There was a service job Auatin had done that involved moving very large rocks. Large. Large. He felt like he hurt his back at the time but that went away. I think most of us know that pain radiates. When the dr heard this he says..yep. Get you back looked at. He thinks he is having a problem with inflammation. He's now on anti-inflammatory medication for a while. Austin had told him he had been taking Adville. Dr asks how much. Once a day a few times a week. Dr asks, did it help? Yes. Then the dr says, about 4 to 6 hrs? Yes. Dr says if we were to put you on that now it would be way more. So. On a special medication for this. The first dr he had seen said the ultra sound showed infection. This dr today read it, said, shows..no infection. 🤨
I'm so hoping he'll feel better in a couple of days. In the meantime he's got an appointment with an Orthopedic that will take xrays of his back.
Don't ask me what I think of Orthopedics.
