Yes, @CapricornFarm, I too was wondering how how you knew what a skinned rat smells like. Is there a story there?

It rained here through the night, we got about 2" in our rain bucket. Supposed to get up in the low 90's today, humidity about 87%, feels like temp around 110. "Cold front" moving in, same temps, lower humidity going forward. Yay.

Good morning. Yawn...DH is home again. Left an offending stone at the hospital and has some more small kidney stones.

12 more days of waiting until I get some relief for my hips and maybe a date for a pair of new hips. I at least want the shots administered deep in the joints so I can walk normal again. The first shot lasted about a year.

The science of new hips has had major improvements from what it used to be. You are a positive person which makes the recovery from walking with a walker, then cane, then a free man so much easier!
When DH has his done they wanted him to stand up right away (they numbed him so needed to make sure the urinary system is still working) He didn't cooperate well because he did not think those hips would work yet. When he finally got up, his anxiety kept him from following through with their request. So they ran the water faucet- and yep! Everything worked!
