well , we hit 88* and had over 70% humidity which pushed us up to 96* today. I am totally wiped-out. Gonna call it a night.

Good night all sweet dreams. prayers and healing thoughts.

UFFDA Granny your going to have to order twice as much bubble wrap for both you and Tom.

Sorry about the chick Larry. Curse of the favorites.

So my new neighbor (whose dog got a couple of my chickens, after this I will just call him my neighbor Chris), came over to repair the door to my chicken coop. It was made out of manufactured wood and installed improperly, so the top has rotted away. It would not hold up through another winter. This is how he fixed it.

And yes, there is about a half-inch gap between the patch and the door. But remembering my late cousin's admonition that "an imperfect something is better than a perfect nothing," I decided I'm happy with the job and will fill in the gap with some Great stuff or something. It'll probably last the rest of my life, and maybe even longer.
A piece of 1x2 or 1x4 and some liquid nail will fix that.
