My sister and Aunt have both been in the hospital for mania. But usually they don't know what they are doing and the family asks the police to step in.

Wow, just Wow! No words. I have been treated by Drs almost that bad but I would of punched them and they knew that so they backed up. I was on Percocet 7.5 3 xs a day and one gabapentin at bed time. Since I let my Dr take over she has increased the Percocet to 4xs a day added another gabapentin and Roboxin muscle relaxer. I have never went over what I am supposed to take or had problems with addiction. I'm sure my body would go thru withdrawels if I cold turkeyed the PPs though. I don't mind sharing whatever folks want to know so if I missed a question ask me again.

Today my GC* googled symptoms of what she has been dx'd with: Non-celiac Gluten Sensitivity. Anxiety and depression are included in that list. She has virtually all the symptoms though. It has been really hard for her to live without bread/ gluten entirely but I think this has convinced her she has to. We may have to become a GF household for her sake. Sigh. I love my homemade bread. But I love her more.

Keto is totally gluten free.

I'm not sure yet if the PP is helping because when I took my gabapentin it knocked me out for a couple hrs. I have just took everything except the gabapentin so I will see shortly if it helps. Hurting pretty bad right now.

The muscle relaxer needs a PA which they are working on but I had a few left over from a different time.
I didn't find anything I wanted to eat so grabbed some Doritos.
I am also waiting for meds for the pressure ulcer on my butt. It's a stage 2

In my younger years, I too was hospitalized several times for bipolar. I was often glad for it. There were times when I called 911 myself. It felt like a safe place when I needed one and the world was a terrifying place to be. It took a couple of years of being in and out of the hospital and having my meds changed and adjusted before my doctors found what worked for me, and I ended up jobless and "virtually homeless" in the midst of it all, but eventually we got me squared away and thanks be to God I have been stable now for the past 24 years.

Keto is totally gluten free.

I don't think we want keto.
