Granny's gone and done it again

How did you wean? 1/4 at a time? For how long?

I took one pill a day. At first I cut it in half. Then when I could handle that I went down to a quarter. You can tell by your body if you go too fast. They keep threatening to cut me off. You know they have everyone on class three narcotics in a database now. The federal government keeps track of all us pain pill takers. I have been accused of dr jumping. Actually my insurance changed twice in one year and I had to get a dr in network.

I know I can't eat much so I make sure to get plenty of protein. Thanks!

If you go on YouTube there are a lot of people that have had bad experience.

My food problem is I am a stress eater. Want that crunch to sooth m nerves.

I would imagine the infection can go systemic, and that can certainly kill you. Organ failure.


I've never had much of an appetite but now I can hardly eat at all. You know how you're not supposed to eat more protein than the palm of your hand? I eat a quarter of that and I'm full. Two bites of mashed potatoes and a spoonful of salad and I'm ready to puke.

My appetite is less now too. I'm just not active enough. My Vestibular problem keeps me from doing more.

I think about food all the time. I do much better with a meal plan and I don’t keep food in the house that talks to me.

It's nice of you to say so. But in all honesty ... life happens and you have to just make the best of it and keep on keeping on ... or go toes up and let them throw dirt in your face.

You're a better example, Granny. I don't know anyone with your burdens and your pain who just takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. You give ME hope!

well, meds are kicking in. I feel a little loopy and the pain is a little better except for my arm with the pinched nerve. It has effected my hand as well as far as strength in it. Its hard to even hold a cup of coffee in it but that's the pill I didn't take. My rear end also is pretty painful

Me too. Still don't eat that much. The wrong things yes, and less exercise.

That's what I need to do, stop buying my coke. I'm drinking less than I was a year ago though. Love that dumb stuff.
