Yes, pinched nerves ~
There are several possible causes of a numb arm with a bad shoulder, including:
Pinched nerve
A pinched nerve in the shoulder can cause numbness, tingling, pain, and weakness in the arm, hand, or shoulder. Symptoms can radiate from the shoulder into the arm, chest, or trapezius muscles. Causes include direct injury, repeated movements, bone protrusions, swollen tissue, or damage to the brachial plexus.
Rotator cuff impingement
A chronic injury to the rotator cuff can pinch the nerves that pass through the shoulder. Symptoms include numbness, tingling, or sharp pain into the arm or hand.
Thoracic outlet syndrome
Poor posture, repeated motions, or trauma can compress the nerves and blood vessels in the area, causing numbness, pain, or tingling in the neck, shoulder, arm, or hand.
Arthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can damage the nerves in the shoulder, causing pain, stiffness, or numbness.
