The dr looked at her throat, said, yup, that's strep, and ordered the ABX. I believe the white cheesy patches are diagnostic.

You can get a disposable cell phone that you can reload with minutes for something like $20, I think. It would be wonderful to have for emergencies.

The closest waterway for us is the Mississippi and it's about 75 miles away. We are just two counties over from where you lived.

I figure the only thing we have to worry about is if and when the New Madrid fault decides to cut loose again and the Old Miss decides to reset her course to the west.

On one of our trips back to FL we stopped at a roadside park that had a plaque about the New Madrid Fault and supposedly we were right on top of it. I remember reading about the Mississippi River changing courses after the big quake there.

I remember getting on a flat small barge used as a ferry boat for a small load at a time. The tender pulled it back and forth across the MS River with a rope. Seems like the crossing was at Dyersburg.
