Granny's gone and done it again

Saturday and Sunday here. I think we get a couple of dry days but I have a bumbershoot in the car anyway just in case!

We're still waiting for the county to bring by gravel for the road in front of our drive way where they churned things up putting in our culvert. We can't gravel our driveway till they gravel the road.

DH dug some tidy trenches today getting our van up the drive today. If we get more rain on Sunday it will be back to being a swamp again.

Blue it took us 4 years of calling, sending pictures, calling some more before we got the culvert put in. 2 years ago one of our Amish neighbors came up to the house in January asking for help because one of their horses fell on the ice in front of our house from water pooling on the road and couldn't get up.

DH finally got action by calling the County Commissioners during one of their twice weekly meetings when all the commissioners are together. After promising us the culvert in February, he was told during his first call that...sorry, you fell through a crack and we didn't follow up. We'll get right on it. Well. DH called again the next week and asked if we were on the schedule and they said yep and they actually showed up two days later.

We'll probably have to go the same route to get gravel laid.

ND is so "deep red" that over 1/2 of the Statewide offices didn't even have a dem challenger.

Not in Calif I n fact no point of even voting here for prez. It is usually called before our polls close

I fell asleep for about 30 mins earlier. Didn't take my 8 pm meds til 11. Just running behind tonight I guess. I hope everyone Is having a good sleep. Sweet dreams all

Same here Blue. I finally had to drag out my muck boots just to walk in the run. Haven't let the birds out for 2 days. I hate chipping dried mud off their feet and the Fayoumi girls don't have the common sense God gave a rock when it comes to coming in out of the rain.

We needed the rain bad but all at once? I think we have rain back in the forecast here on Saturday.

We have not had measurable rain in over a month..Next it will likely rain hard for a week!
