Granny's gone and done it again

My dog friend is coming to visit and go to the dog show on Friday. I always get stressed when people come and visit.
So do I. Most old friends don't really grasp the problems I have with my health and like I tell my husband, there is family clean and company clean when it comes to preparing your home for company. I finally came out and told a friend that I wasn't able to hostess a stay from them like I used to when they called on a Wednesday and announced that they wanted to come visit on Friday and stay the weekend.

It was.....liberating.

Morning everyone, or afternoon, depending on where you are. Sunshine here this morning and lots of mud. A bit tired. DH woke me up at 2:30AM excitedly holding the cell phone in front of my face so I could see the election results. Grabbed my glasses so I could see the numbers. Then got excited myself! Think I got back to sleep about 3:30.

Glad elections only happen every 4 years.

PS: Happy Belated Birthday, Larry!

Gonna go for a walk tonight when I get home as soon as I get home. Can’t wait for the crunch crunch of the leaves LOL not exactly crisp fall air though as it was almost 80° today but still gorgeous out LOL
I hear ya. We try to walk in the woods 4 times a week. Especially love the crunch of the leaves only right now they are soggy from the rain and mud. Maybe tomorrow as the sun has been out all day here.

Mail lady came today and had a fit. She almost slid into the new ditch two days ago and was P.O.ed that they hadn't immediately put gravel down after they worked on the culvert. She was amazed that we were able to get our big van up and down the driveway yesterday.

Then came the garbage man who we met at the road and told him not to even try to reach our dumpster. He took some pictures as did the postal carrier to send to their bosses.

The wheels of progress turn slowly but they do turn.
