Brew is on strike because I got him a new type of food that arrived today that he wants to try and he smells it but I am refusing to open it until we finish the other bag or at least get close enough to slowly transition which we are not there yet LOL mean mom

Thank you! She hides her pain well until she starts shaking and hiding in a corner and by then I think she doesn't want to take anything by mouth because of the pain. Before the shaking, she doesn't limp, doesn't sit around. Acts normal. I suspect pain if it's nap time and she isn't sleeping or if she's unusually restless in bed.

Is Addison a worry in your breed?

That’s why I think an injectable that last would be good for her pain.

You need to find a good vet and get a work up.

Yes. I’ve done it many times. That said, I have also switched him and other dogs cold turkey before and they were both perfectly fine. But maybe I just lucked out with iron stomach dogs lol I don’t do that anymore though. I do it slowly now.

Yeah I guess that makes sense but I’ve never gotten sick from it and even the FDA says 3-4 days for leftovers (it’s different for different foods I guess). Although today is the 4th day so I guess I won’t risk it lol

Well, I'm talking about leftover meats and chicken, since chicken is what you were talking about. I should say that I keep salsa for a week, for example.

Seriously? I'm eating chicken I froze in November 2023. Tastes like chicken, lol plus, no way I'm throwing out perfectly good food, the Pennsylvania Dutch and Cherokee in me just won't do that willingly.

I'm not as concerned about frozen foods either. I think they last longer than people say. And I store meat, poultry and fish in vacuum sealed bags. I don't find they degrade as fast as they say.

Yes can cause major diarrhea in some dogs. Is it the same brand of food
