Granny's gone and done it again

I'm sorry! Try to think about something you enjoy doing. Take Brew for a walk and get out in the fresh air. If it's to hot or raining play with him inside. Do something you enjoy doing, don't just sit and stew about what you can't change. If it's something you can change, go change it. I know this is easier said than done. I'm praying for you.
Awww thank you!!!!! I am about to go walk him now. I just ate and now we’re going. I can’t change this specific situation BUT! I can now prevent it from happening again now that it happened if that makes sense LOL like I know how to prevent it now. So I will take steps towards that tomorrow. Too late for today. But anyways, thanks!!!!

@ShrekDawg, remember you can call your back-up people. :hugs You are not alone.
Thank you. I’m just confused now because I Googled the on call thing and found a different number and name for it so now IDK which one to call LOL I think they are different but IDK. I plan on asking about it tomorrow. I would have today but then my ride came right when I was about to. Also I can’t really call for other reasons 🤣🙈

@BigBlueHen53, sorry you are looking at a knee replacement. You are just trying to keep up with me!! :gigBut seriously, My PT guy told me that he would rather go through 2 knee replacements than 1 shoulder surgery. He said that the state of the art is amazing and people have a very fast recovery. Shoulder surgery, he said, was just plain painful and rehab even more so. Our UPS guy had a knee replacement this year after having several arthroscopic procedures done and still living with a lot of pain. I caught him one day last month and asked him if he ever had the replacement done and he said he had and it was duck soup. I asked him if he had any pain and he proceeded to jump up and down from the steps of his truck and shook his head. He said it was like having a new knee. Absolutely no pain. He's in his 50s and spends his day delivering all sizes and weights of packages.

You are Missouri tough and will do fine!

@ShrekDawg, girl you have got to quit being on hard on yourself. I had a friend who once gave me a plaque that said that we all face absurdities in our lives that we can't prevent, let them go and start the next day fresh.

Personally, I talk to God and let the Father and Son handle things for me. Their shoulders are far stronger than mine....especially since recent events....;)...Plus they give me the strength to face whatever comes my way.

Another thing I've done I heard on a TV talk show, may have been good old Doctor Phil who said to get a notebook and write down 5 worries that you have. Then go back in a month and review them he said that a person would find that their worries weren't all that bad at all and most if not all had resolved themselves.

As the old saying goes, don't sweat the small stuff and when all is said and done, most of our worries are small stuff.

You are a smart and personable young woman. I hate seeing you beating yourself up emotionally and not believing in YOU. We do!

PS. I'll be 72 years old and I HATE talking to people on the phone. They used to give me a list of people to call when I worked at a nursing and rehab center in IL who had 'problems' that needed to be resolved concerning their loved ones in the facility. Once I looked at the list and said, These aren't even my patients! They told me they knew that but I did it so well and I could handle it better than anyone else could.

They didn't know how much it stressed me out to do it. Then working with my husband I spent hours talking on the phone, making appointments, fighting with insurance companies, dealing with jobbers trying to sell me something, getting put on hold for hours.....friends would tell me to call them and I would say NO! I'll text or write and email but forget the phone. I've been retired for 10 years and I still hate the phone. I understand how you feel but there comes a time where you have to just sit down, pick up the dreaded phone and make the flipping call so you can help yourself. Like I said, be kind to Shrekdawg. She's loved.

I WANT to call but I’m terrified to LOL

Don't be scared. I know that is easy for me to say but there are people out there who are eager to help you just by listening.

What do you have to lose in trying? What do you have to gain?
Thanks. :hugs

I have a lot to lose if they do what I think they might do LOL
