Granny's gone and done it again

Good morning, Grannyland! Almost 9 a.m. here and has been raining like Noah's deluge here! All the rain we didn't get in the last month has ganged up and will be hitting us in the next week or so. So if you don't see me I'll be out in the back swimming with the chickies!
Or in an ark. 😁

We've been getting some much needed showers thus past week. Not heavy, but we'll take what we get. Very thankful.
Doesn't look like we'll get any more for a while.
The east coast looks like they have some stuff coming their way. That hurricane is supposed to veer off into the ocean and not hit though.

Good morning Granny Landers. It's almost 11 a.m. here and already 89 degrees with sunshine. We really need some of that rain you are getting in Missouri so please send some our way. Doing laundry today and trying to reorganize part of my craft room until it's time for chores this afternoon. Hope everyone has a great day.

72° here now, a lull in the rain. I was going to keep the chickens confined to the run today since I think I lost 3 to a coyote ā˜¹ļø but decided to release them so they could take cover in the carport. Boy did I get wet, even with my rain jacket on, and it's been "water-proofed!" Ha. I believe we have several days of this ahead which is fine by me. I wasn't able to harvest any mint this spring because I was incapacitated but if it revives I certainly will, and will dry some. I'll send you some, Granny!

@Rambling Iris I would gladly send you some of this rain but it seems determined to head east, not south. Sorry! I even put my finger on it on the map and tried repeatedly to slide it south but I guess my pointer is broken!

Thanks for trying. I'm planning an herb garden for next year and mint is on the list to plant. I'm researching herbs to feed the chickens to maintain their good health.

Sorry I didn't get to this till now. I'll never get caught up so I'll just jump in here. I imagine this has been resolved. I think I saw that @Rambling Iris hit on the bladder problem that Tom is having. Only other thing I could think of is that if there isn't a lot of urine in the bag sometimes the lumen of the catheter can lay up against the wall of the bladder and cause some discomfort.

Hope he is feeling better now.

The last two days have been weird here. Just can't seem to get caught up and then I discovered that I needed to stop my muscle relaxers because I was having some really weird side effects from them since I've been taking them three times a day for my shoulder spasms and pain. So I stopped them. They also helped me sleep at night by controlling back muscle spasms for me so last night slept like 5 hours.

Yesterday DH and I said 'BLEEP' it, we're out of here and we took off on the motorcycle for the afternoon. Had a great time. Sun was out and we road 50 miles on some back roads in the county. Came back tired but happy. Then the golden rod pollen exposure hit me like a anvil. Sigh. Okay, we went out when we got back and started scraping down the deck so we could get it ready to stain. Sneezing, coughing and dripping for about an hour before I conceded and came inside to sneeze, cough, gag and drip my way through the rest of the day.

My paralyzed little hen is still with me. I suspected she was injured but now I think it's Marek's rearing it's ugly head. She's not wanting to eat or drink unless I prompt her and then it's hit and miss. She tries to use her legs and she is almost like she is seizing. I get her to eat some scrambled egg twice a day and a bit of water but I expect to use her. One of my very favorite little hens. Very sweet and talkative. She liked to climb the fence like she was doing parkour whenever she saw me coming and would jump up and grab treats out of my hand.

God I hate Marek's.

@BigBlueHen53 I think you are getting the heavier rain and storms in your area today. We are getting rain but it's steady and not that hard. Just what we needed.

Comes and goes. Sammy's sitting in my lap but not on my head, lol, and he's alert and wary but not trembling. I haven't given him anything yet but might give him half a Gaba as we're exoecting more severe stuff in a couple of hours.

Glad you enjoyed your road trip! Sounds like fun. I had a bf once with a road hog. 😊
