The kids are all on their beds and maybe I will be too before to long. By 9 I hope. #1 son stopping by on his way to FL mid morning. Got a new pair of work gloves for him...... Got some heavy lifting to do. Not a lot. 15-20 minutes.... Back is better today than yesterday.... Still not going to chance it. No Sciatica pain at all now finally. Road trip over to Greenfire Farms Friday for 8 of these kids.

I think with their jumbo eggs they will compliment our Bielefelders nicely. Expecting our first pullet eggs from our oldest Bielefelder pullets mid November. One day soon I've got to finish demolishing the two large coops that the Blizzard of '25 halfway destroyed. I can salvage the cattle panels and maybe some of the PT wood. There are enough cattle panels to build 4 eleven bird coops or broody hen with chicks coops. Need one hen with chicks coop now. Maude will soon have chicks under her hopefully. This time around we were prepared for her and nothing has bothered her or her eggs. Ma's been hand feeding her for the last few days. If I doze off in this chair please do not wake me.....

Robert made meatloaf and homemade mashed potatoes today. I opened a can of green beans. LOL It was all pretty good. He is getting better. All he asked of me was to cut the potatoes smaller after he got them peeled and to add the milk to the potatoes. These are pretty good but I still add a little bacon grease.

I'm doing ok I guess. Recuperated for this last surgery and delaying the next one due to my DH health. And you?

Nice that he's doing more cooking. Sounds like he did a pretty good job!

I made baked beans today. They were too sweet but good. Next time, half the brown sugar. Recipe called for bacon of course. I just put in a couple Tbsp of Liquid Smoke and it came out pretty good. We have a Liquid Smoke factory here. One of Melissa's former bf worked there. Today she told me she thinks what she liked best about him was how good he smelled. And he did, too, like a campfire.
