Granny's gone and done it again

I have lost track of how many xs he has called for help so far and his breathing sounds terrible. very rattly if that's a word. He doesn't know who I am. I asked him if he knew me and he said yes so I asked who I was and he said my mom.

@Cynthia12 you worked 7-7. Was that with only one person? When mom was on hospice they only came for around half an hour every other day
When I worked hospice it was me and the patient from 7 in the morning to 7 at night. Another nurse came in for the night shift. I took my lunch and ate in the room with the patient unless the family wanted to stay with them while I ate in their kitchen. I used the bathroom in the patients room if there was one or the one in the family area. I would take something to do like a book for when I was just sitting with the patient. I did not leave the patient alone for more than a couple of minutes unless the family was there with them.

7-7?
The nurse only came to take his BP and to watch him interact in the beginning. .a few times a week. A woman came and helped him shower a few times a week. I was, asked, if I wanted a social worker at times. He came around anyway a couple of times.
Things will be done accordingly. Every patient is different. Sounds like Tom will need more.
The nurse will evaluate as someone here said, I think it was Iris. The nurse will watch him and ask you questions. I think it was Blue that suggested you write down any question that comes to mind before the nurse shows up. Great idea.
Do you have the name of the Hospice that is going to help with his care.
Wondering in case you need to talk to someone tonight.

You sound like you were there towards the end?
I have a daughter that goes out of state to do Hospice. She doesn't do the end of life but goes and spends time with a couple of different clients in the way your describing.
