Julie, I seen on the news where a shooting in your town took the life of some children over the weekend. The madness never ends, it seems.

Yes it was horrific, both of my stepsons are cops in Stockton. One was the first one on the scene. He said it looked like a movie set. Bodies just scattered over the parking lot.

I suffered In my room all night from the heat. Its got up to 77 in there. 72 for the rest of the house. I cant take that crap.

Okay, was out shoveling the newest snow (about 2 more inches on top of the 8 down to 7) and started humming to myself. Before I knew it I had created my own ode to winter in Missouri....sung to Silver Bells.

"Spread some salt
Scrape some ice
It's Winter time in Missouri
Oh heck no!
We got more snow!
How soon till it's spring again?"

And it's not even winter yet for another 21 days!

Pork loin and red onions, fried in browned butter and olive oil, seasoned with parsley leaves, cucumber dill seasoning and white pepper, over pasta.
A side of refried beans layered in Colby cheese and surrounded by whipped sour cream.
The drink is sparkling peach cider.

woke up yesterday morning to a temp of -18* and we've had over a foot of snow in the past few days.

I think the bakery is closed (for now at least) 114 dozen cookies. Now just the candy and then I can ship everything out and relax a bit.

114 dozen or 114 cookies?

Oh and Sat night Star and Krim were "locked up" as in impersonating a "push-me-pull-you" Not sure if Krim's swimmers are working yet or not.
