Granny's gone and done it again

Does either one of you have family around? Hows the puppy's?

No. One of his friends calls him when he's in the hospital or texts him

He thinks he's been in for many days and doesn't understand why he doesn't come home today. He understands it when I explain it but by the next hour he's anxious again and doesn't understand why he doesn't come home today...I explain again and so it continues....

I went thru that with Toms stroke and again w/ the dementia. I found a blackboard to help as I wrote down the day and plans for that day

They do not do well staying at home by themselves all day. They get panic attacks when I come home so they can hardly breathe.

He does have a board on his wall at the hospital with all that information and still asks me . I just keep repeating it

Early memory loss runs in my family. I try to eat brain healthy foods but I hope someday some body is very patient with me and doesn't remind me if I repeat myself

I always enjoyed helping people in the hospital and assisted living care. But the way things are going, I don't know if the next generation will see the value in helping the elderly (or want to) once I need care!

I guess I ask Robert the same thing a lot and he sure doesn't mind telling me about it. He will even say, why should I answer you? You don't listen. I try not to ask him anything now
