Yes those verses ARE for you! They are for everyone who needs them. The Bible is God talking to YOU. Prayer is you talking to Him.

God doesn't think it is a waste of time. We are instructed to bring all our care to him and He will give us peace. In 1 Thessalonians 5 v 16 through 18 it says to rejoice always pray continually and give thanks in all things because this is God's will for us. We can talk to God like we are talking to a friend. He doesn't forget us, but forgives everything we bring to him even if we do it more than once.
