so I am paying for a service one way or the other then they should be reliable all I am saying. You would think the advertizers might be a little upset about a NOT smooth running web site as well.
So my Serama chicks are now about 9 weeks old. 4 cockerels and 2 pullets. Mr. Man (originally called Friendly) is the top cock, big red comb and crowing at 4½ weeks. He makes all the right rooster moves- calls the others over for food, guards, alerts for danger- all the good stuff. He has been trying to keep order amongst the other cockerels, but they are getting feisty and starting to fight back. Except for poor little Bueno, who gets it from everyone. Mr. Man is the only one that crows, although I may have heard a squeaky attempt from one of the others just today.
Question- will the boys do each other in? There was a squabble out in the garage just now. Not sure who was doing what. Do I need to separate them? The other batch of chicks were raised in the flock, and I didn't see all the infighting, but I'm sure it was there. Do I need a bachelor pen? Mr. Man gets very bent out of shape if I take any of his flock away. Any ideas??
Fingers crossed for you!So there is an auction on Monday they are selling a headgate and the brand I want !!! Looks beat up tho so we are going and checking it out.
Also the foot trimmer for the yaks had a whole gate/catch/table system to trim their (yaks) feet. If all else fails I could to the ear tags and hair sample then.![]()
I just hope the stress won't affect the one with calves inside them.![]()

seramas dont fight much. sounds like you have an aggressive one.
night Twist congrats on the egg sale.
Yes, went out to see what was going on. It's PrettyBoy, the calico. Little putz was picking on the other two cockerels. I saw him make a move on one of the pullets this afternoon too. He probably the one who tried to crow. It would be easy to sell him. He's quite a looker. I wanted to keep him longer to see his adult plumage. He's sitting in my lap right now, shaking from the circlingsharkscats.
