Jeebus. Feeling absolutely helpless, sick and terrified for my friends up in fort mcmurray. (Alberta, Canada.).

City is under manditory evacuation.

That highway out of town...isn't great at the best of times.

Guys, I don't do this often but....if you pray, pray for fort Mac. If you don't, rain dance/healing vibes/anything you can get.

Well phew. My friends...one works with the rcmp (police) so she's working at the municipal command center thingy...she's safe. Her hubs is at a camp, he's safe too. Their dogs are out of harms way as well.

Everything else can be rebuilt or replaced. Been afraid to look at the news for damage reports.

Keep up the good vibes though. The people of fort Mac will need them

Good morning granny family! Overcast and dripping here. Nothing new, except I am attempting my first solo shopping trip since my stupid back went out. Bringing lots of bags so I can pack everything super light.

Prostar, keeping your friends and countrymen in mind. Terrible fire. Reminds me of the one we had near here last year in Middletown. All the beetle damage trees are like torches when they catch fire. Latest report on the news said no reports of injuries, so that's a blessing. Glad your friends are safe.

Linda, awesome interview! You write very well and loved the pic of all of you on the couch.
