it has a tail.

Should i just make soup and mail order some....
Some breeds that the"website" says they really are and add the extra charge for girls?
Or do I have about the same chance of getting what i want that way?

I would keep them.. As far as I can tell you will have white, chocolate dark brown and green eggs. That's everyone's dream!!!! You can pick up another chick to add a regular brown egg to it.

I got chickens to chill...relax....have fun with.
Where is all the info that I didn't read about all this **** stress???

Granny you didn't tell me I might have a darn heart attack stressing over baby chicks!
Shoot I might actually have to check my blood sugar level...or open another beer---which is not going to help my puffy belly!

I'll take those colors! I'm in it for the long haul. I can't eat them just yet! I couldn't even snack on them.

Quote: A sucker rod is a steel rod, typically between 25 and 30 feet (7 to 9 meters) in length, and threaded at both ends, used in the oil industry to join together the surface and downhole components of a reciprocating piston pump installed in an oil well.
Think chimney brush with multiple rods attached...when the first one goes down to chimney-top level, you add another one

Pullorum typhoid. That's it.

thats just a money racket then hu ?  getting NPIP certified.   Its not testing for things I would want to know about . Like the MG.

Not totally. It depends a lot on your state. The testing he did today was free. Some states aren't.

I have a tendency to lock up when folks are telling me stuff that contradicts what I thought, especially stuff I don't know as much about. Low confidence, which isn't always a bad thing. But sometimes I don't stand up for myself.

Overall I'm pleased with how today went. I handled the guineas with no extra bloodshed, and I can send y'all eggs and chicks now.

:weee

Hi Kiki! Barred rocks and cuckoo marans will look similar. Do the CM chicks have feathered legs?

Based on feathering I'd say at least your EE is 2-3 weeks old.

My first chicks weren't what I wanted either. I did tons of research and picked the perfect breeds, then drove an hour each way to bring home six mutt chicks. I had reached the point where I could wait no more! It was do or die, literally.

We still have two of them. :love

I only wanted 3-4 and a single nice small coop for them. I now have 5 coops and won't admit the number of birds.
that exactly how it happened with me. I just wanted a few eggs once a week.

thanks..I've read that a lot over the last year.
Any other good advice?

Last Friday i bought 6 babies......a few hours later I drove all the way back to the feed store to pick up two more.  My max limit is going to me 15.  I will NOT be getting anymore THIS year!
isn't she cute y'all? She set a limit at 15 lol. My limit was six.

LOL! Love the feed store employees! I know anolder gentleman that had Rhode Island Reds and leghorns for years. Separate times. He believes that leghorns lay white eggs because they were not allowed to free range. His Rhode Island Reds laid brown eggs because they were allowed to free range.
I fee my ee blue m@m's so she lays blue eggs.

It was my turn to find the baby birdie!

There was a nest pretty close by, so I put it in that one. The mama was paying attention to us. I'll check on them in a bit.
