you nick a branch injuring the bark and about 1/4th of the limb and make a pocket with the panty hose . fill it with the peat and tye it with the string. keep it moist and it should start roots.
same as ground layering. I have done that.

with out winds out here keeping it moist could be a real challenge. and I would have to get Red to mail me some of his pantyhose all I have a fishnets.
