I told the kitchen girls to come in at 7:30 (instead of 6:45). They were excited about sleeping in til DH explained that it's not actually a good thing. It's my nice way of saying "you're useless and I work better without you." They were still six minutes late each.

Also, how do you know when to deworm the chickens? Would it be same for turkeys and ducks? Or just do it a couple times a year as preventive. At what age do you start deworming?

I wouldn't worm a chicken (or any other animal, for that matter) until there's a reason; evidence that the animal's wormy. Worming unnecessarily, 'specially using the same wormer, will lead to the animal building up a resistance to the active ingredient in the product.

Right or wrong, this is JMO; take it for what it's worth, or not.
