Morning.  I'm still trying to wake up.  Granny, any more hatches?  Too bad about the mean rooster.  Maybe its a reaction to the stress of the move and he will calm down. Go get a bucket of KFC and eat it in front of him while him some knowing looks.

Star, lots of small are supposed to be good.  Releases the tension along the fault so bigger ones are less likely.  Doesn't matter how much tension is released, earthquakes always make me tense!

Camping, tried to find what the bubbles could have been, but no luck.  I'm surprised the chick survived with all that.

Man it's releasing a lot of tension then! Not feeling any but think I've heard some...and looking online it continues to rumble round those parts.

A sapphire hatched! @Sally Sunshine

have been fighting with the city all week about some tree's in the blvd that 2 are dead have been for a couple years and 2 dead as of this spring and 1 more going. All from Dutch elm they (city) are giving me 20 days to take care of the problem, and then it took them over a week to mail me the notice. Also tree's in blvd are the cities problem not mine. FARKING IDIOTS
Yeah, good luck with that. Is it in writing anywhere about the trees being city's responsibility? If you find it, make a copy before they change it.

well, he is 20/21 probably just checking out what he wants to do but boss has known this for 2 weeks now.

That's too bad. They really should have told you. Routine is easy, change is not. They should know that, being "professionals."

Quote: Still shaking, huh? Do you have your emergency kit together? At least have some water set aside.

I lived in the Bay Area when Loma Prieta hit. It was so strong, I felt the waves move the ground up and down. Luckily, the power stayed on on our side of the bay, and no services interrupted. I turned on the tv as soon as it passed, and many of the local stations were off the air so I knew it was bad. Quite a few people were hanging out in restaurants because they couldn't get across the Bay Bridge to get back to SF, and were waiting to hear if and how they could get home. There were no warning shocks before this. Out of the blue!

Yep. I think I need to make some room and fortify my emergency rations though. Especially since I had a talk with hubs about fires...and he said he fully intends to stay on the homestead. Oi.
Bright side, in case of, we got trailer, the propane fridge works (takes forever to get cold but does work!), and have a bunch of propane stoves, between kitchen stove, hot mess (trailer), and the roughed out kitchen set up in the garage just waiting for project toterhome to come home for installation lol. And hubs can power stuff off his work truck too. So, go us.
And chickens. Source of eggs ;)
