Did you ever find out who they belonged to? If it were me I would be ringing dog warden/animal control. What if they start attacking people. Owners should be prosecuted for not being in control of them. Over here you would be charged for letting your dogs run lose.

Only the other day I saw on the news that a woman let her dog off in the the park and it attacked 11 children that were playing. She was charged and rightly so in my book.

No, I never found out. I hate to be stereotyping. but there are a lot of hispanics here in this neighborhood and they don't believe in keeping their dogs in their yard or spaying and neutering. Every day I have to navigate loose dogs on the road on my way to work. There are puppies in the culverts with stray mommas. It goes on and on. Stepping off my soapbox now. Sorry!

Goodness that sounds grim for you and the poor dogs. That's just not responsible ownership at all. Different cultures have different ways of seeing things I guess.

Unfortunately, yes. I have spent over $1000 dollars spaying and neutering the feral cats that come by my house.

No charity near you that could help? There is a big drive on here about neutering and all dogs have to be microchipped by law now. Lots of vets offering cheaper neutering and some charities are doing it for free.

My vet is really cheap! I can't take off work to stand in lines for the free (sometimes) spay and neuter and I don't live in a designated zipcode for cheaper services. The vet I use is 40 plus 12 for rabies for male cats and 90 plus 12 for females. Most other vets are 90 plus rabies for males and 145 plus rabies for females. I just try and do my best a little at a time. We do have a microchip law here for dogs.
