I dont know if I want to keep them or not. If I can get rid of some layers. again, Not one person has asked.

so heres what I think about the tolbunt roo. Hot potato him, trim the claws and maybe the beak. never did the beak before . That dont grow back does it ? thats no good for protector. cover the sides of his cage and leave him in solitaire for a few days. Then when he is good and lonely I will with hold food for a day. The next morning comes the hard part. He will spend the better part of the day being held by different people and only be allowed to eat from out hands. I think this should go on for a couple weeks or more depending on how stubborn he is .
Thoughts ?

sounds like a LOT of effort and time to stick into a 3 year old bird.

I think a people aggressive rooster should be taught to avoid people, especially their hands. Handle him by all means, he must submit, and if he bites, immediately shove him down on the ground, cover his head and hold him there until he stops struggling. If he gets up and moves away, put a treat on the floor near him. The action and the reward must happen immediately, as should the action (biting) and the punishment, for him to make the association. If I bite I get layed out flat and held down. If I avoid/respect hands in my space, i get food. He will make a connection, but hope it can overcome his ingrained bad behavior. I did this with 3 of the serama cockerels that started biting. Took 3 times of holding them down before they got the idea NOT to bite my hand that I shoved near their face. It only works in a cage where you can have control. I would not want the rooster to eat out of my hand. Too close to biting and too confusing.
