Poor Roxie. Is she still eating? Do they stop eating like dogs before they give birth? Do you have good treats ready to go for once she finally gives birth?

She's still eating everything. I have molasses all ready to go.

Y'all remember the Monster chick that I hatched? Also Roxie just looks pitiful.

I think she was just resting. I went out just now and she's moving around, eating hay. Jangles was lying curled up like that too, earlier. Monster is pretty and I hate it because he's one of the "dinners," the babies I hatched to process. But he's so nice! Always following me around, and he lets me and the kids pick him up easy.

My dogs think the chicks belong to them. If anything is going on around them, the dogs let me know. Abby just goes in the run and lays down, letting the chicks walk all over her. Opal thinks that they need to play with her, so she's not allowed in the run until she's older and calmed down a bit. They are both vicious pit bull mixes.

I have Boxers...very sweet babies. My big huge white male ALWAYS gets called a Pit. I laugh at the "non dog" people probably how you chicken people laugh at me. LOL

he refused to give me meds after he told insurance he would. They were having problems with their printer so I hadnt filled out the paper work before I seen him. He never touched me. Listened to my heart NOTHING. I said you gave my daughter so much meds. I watched her have seizures on her kitchen floor and she didnt even need them. I do and you refuse me? He said that was a long time ago the laws changed now. I said, you are a lier. That was 6 months ago and "laws" changed 2 years ago. I asked why has no one tried me on arthritis meds ? He said, I will refer you to a pain clinic. I already tried the pain clinic they wont take my insurance. He said then look around. I stood up and walked out. Got to the front and lady says here is the paperwork you need to fill out. I asked is this the paper giving you the right to bill my insurance ? Yes,, Then stick it up your @ss and tell your so called dr. to go "have relations" with himself.
wasted day, wasted gas and I am in so much pain. I am at the end of my rope.
Found a dead baby this am and more on the way out with cocci. Rooster attacked me and just attacked CB. He is back in solitaire and I will rehome him to someone that dont care. so no roo.

I had such high hopes for you.

There has to be a pain clinic somewhere that will take your insurance. Or maybe call the insurance person and get it added on somehow. Cookie cutter medicine is very frustrating. Doctors do not get to make the decisions as they should.

Chick question.

I have been taking my 2 week old chicks outside to play each evening.

Last night one of them scared the poo out of me...I really almost started freaking out.

It was about 7:30 pm...hot as heck still. They were out playing for about 10 minutes when one decided to just lay down on it's side. I just watched it and after a few minutes of laying there I got nervous so I tried to pick it up to stand and it would just FALL OVER.
Now I am totally freaking out.
I try to keep standing it up for a few minutes and notice that it kept one leg real close to its body.

I put it down, turn around to grab the box to load them back up to bring back inside and when I turned back around it was running and playing just like the others.


Any ideas of what the heck she was doing?
