Right now i have bar rock hens, buff orphington roo, white tophat polish, black sex linked hens, and some barnyardmixes- 42 in all.

I was blowing them out and painting them for a little birds nest I have but the kids broke them so I just tossed it.

And it actually made me think about raising meat birds....

Not at my house of course but I could build a coop at my "horses".

Since I am still "new" to chickens, I really like to read through a lot of the "New Posts" to see what kind of problems others have...
A lot of people seem to join this site when they run into a problem and I have actually learned a lot by just reading stuff.

Does anyone else just skim through the new posts too?

I meant to you raise chickens for eggs or meat or both.

I was getting 18 eggs a day and I am downgraded to a wind egg. OHH the shame ! I refused to buy store bought eggs today. I said I just know they are going to lay. Well, they did. hahaaaa
