I think it would have the exact opposite effect on me. My stomach is churning just thinking about it!


Does Robert talk or interact with the family much? I think sometimes people don't understand what autism really is. The person looks normal, so they think it's something that can be controlled, that the person is making a choice in being how he is. My eldest used to be very awkward in his relationships, and relatives thought he was rude. I had to clear things up quickly and lay down the law that you can't get angry at a kid for failing at something they are still learning how to do. Now he's 17, and even though he doesn't enjoy most social settings, he's pretty good at faking it. Been coaching him since he was 2.
 
ohh, sure he did. I would never not get him what everyone else has. he didnt want tacos so he got fried chicken breast and tater wedges from the deli today.
