Really?? That was my mother's name! My grandmother used to tell stories about how a white bird would always show up when someone in the family died. One time she heard a voice coming from the fireplace, sort of crying, and she thought it was her mother who had died. She went outside and looked up at the chimney, and sure enough a white dove was up there and flew away. She always thought her mom had somehow sent that bird to her to say that she was fine. Now you have a white bird with my mother's name, Barbara. :love
Thats pretty nice Wishing. When my sister died it was white flowers, everywhere.
Isn't it strange how it works? The day that happened was after the funeral, and there was a house full of people that heard and saw the bird. She said she saw one right after my grandpa died too. The morning I was driving up to get married, I was a little sad because my grandfather had passed a few years earlier and I was missing him. It was raining a little too, that morning, but I didn't mind so much. Then as I was driving over a bridge across a little stream I saw a belted kingfisher up on a phone line. That is my favorite bird, and I hadn't seen one in years, and I haven't seen one since. Sure did cheer me up thinking grandpa somehow sent that bird for me to see so I knew he knew what was going on.
