Got the school shopping done. I snuck some therapy shopping in too.. Don't tell anyone. I bought myself a pair of jeans, pheasant blouse. Faux cardigan and a black sweat jacket. It's been a super long time since I have shopped for myself. I am justifying it cause I've gained so much weight my clothes don't fit right. All pieces were 10 bucks or under so not too bad. Walmart.

And I skipped lunch. I'm starving with granny. :hit

I skipped too...

we are all suffering with granny today. See, friends in low places.

Quote: A rumpless chicken has nothing to do with feathers. It is missing the vertebrae that make up the tail. A tail allows the chicken to move the tail feathers up or down. Rumpless is missing the tail altogether. You should be able to feel if it's there or not. Think of a dog's tail... you know when it's not there!

, early in the morning on an empty stomach, to check for gestational diabetes when pg with #1. I got through about half of it and couldn't drink the rest... so nauseating. Nurse comes out and says you have to drink it all now because the time limit is up. Asked her where the closest bathroom was because it was all about to come up anyway. She decided to let me take the blood test with have the amount. I still had trouble keeping it down, but made it through the test.

But they're so cool looking... like a little dinosaur... leprosy! Maybe that's what happened to the tails on the rumpless chickens.

I'm thinking about trying to build some breed pens. Three I think. Or maybe five.

I want to try to make two breeds:
1.) small white and spotted birds that lay lots of blue and blue green eggs. I can make them with my sapphire roo and the two legbar pullets and the two white EE pullets.

2.) big super fluffy gray birds that lay green eggs. This one is harder but I have the OE project roo from Sally and my blue cochin mixes. That'll so be fun. The blue pullets are always a hit.

Then extra pens for the HRIR hens and maybe an extra bloodline on the honas. It's going to make my yard a bonafide chicken farm.

Camping, if you had more time and money, I can just imagine how many chickens you would have! And they would all be super cute and beautiful.

I would love to have a Serama sized chicken that lays blue/green eggs! Thought about getting some bantam Ameraucanas and seeing if the Serama rooter would breed them, but have a feeling he wouldn't be able to reach. Maybe a bantam Ameraucana rooster could breed the Seramas, but that means I'd have to get another rooster.

Maybe I should just get some hatching eggs the next time they go broody. Oh wait... 3 are broody right now!
