We have a big field that holds water, so it's pretty unusable. I've started thinking of planting it in wildflowers and some type of grass so when we cut it I'll have hay with the herbs and flowers already mixed in. Thoughts?

the reason i ask on fb a lady had silkies for sale awhile back...

They can be kept in a colder climate, but they will need each other for warmth. They definitely won't be running out in the snow lol

it gets pretty cold here in winter..i have bantams so if it gets below 20 i leave a light on for them..they did good last winter and it's the coldest one we have had in awhile..lady that lives pretty close to me had silkies for sale a while back..at the time i never thought about having them..but they sure are cute..i ask roost how far is it to ky..thought about him wanting silkies..

Hi Melon how are you today?

It is sunny and 77. I just put black silkie (Blackie) and her 2 nuggets on the porch with the young blue silkie (unnamed). Cookie (white silkie) is setting on duck eggs out there too.

Little frizzle (unnamed) rolled the eggs out on the floor and abandoned the nest this afternoon.

Granny you haven't said anything about Lilly lately. How is it going?

It seems like the people that I found that does have them are in every state but NC. Just my luck.
