Yep - control is the whole issue! Good call Danna! I know for certain that is my SOS (sack of sh*t) problem.

I have been telling my mother for years what a SOS he is..... She finally figured it out. My mom inherited my brothers house when he died. No mortgage involved. She already owned the homestead free and clear. She took her 401K and bought a house in MD, she moved back where she grew up to be nearer he family. SOS wanted to borrow some money, she told him she didn't have money laying around. She doesn't it is all tied up in her real estate. He goofed when he told her he knew she was lying he knew dam good and well she was rolling in money!

When she told me that, I said I don't want to say I told you so...... She said never mind I see his true colors now......

I blame the daughters as much as the men . they allow it to happen. Unless they fear for their life . and even then things can be done. they are brain washed . they need to stand up.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but, if she ever does decide she neds to do something, I want her to feel like she has somewhere to go.

I have the chance to tell mine and she sometimes agrees. But thats why she is in the shape she is. she agrees too easy.

Does your DD have friends? And do the kids? Are they in sports or band or something you could go to? Grandparents have rights.

Nope, no friends, no school activities. She has only recently been allowed to go back to work, only because they were about to lose their house.........
