pulled all the green plants complete with some beans and send out to the farm for the yaks also some windfall apples mushy tomatoes and the green ones as well

Only thing left in the garden is Koholrabi and apples on one tree. Just need to rake the cleaning station and wipe down the cleaning tables and I am good to go.

stewing down some maters, onions, peppers, and celery will continue to add more as the maters ripen.

got rid of a pick up box full of aluminum cans YOU now have to let them take a pic and have a valid Driver's liscense in order to recycle metal.

post office, bank vacuum place for 100.00 worth of bags, menards for flood lights load of laundry

I think that is about all I did today.

sounds like a lot. $100.00 for vacuum bags ? What if your vacuum takes a crap? Kirby?

what crosses are you interested in ?  I sure wouldnt call it a failure.  I dont believe any of us can get rich from chickens no matter how fancy the breed.  average peep cant afford the fancys. Look at me, been trying to get a flock of tolbunts started for years now. I have 2 hens. I know even if I do I cant sell them for a lot. IF I wanted to make any money here where I live it would be with the amish and egg layers. Something I have no interest in. LOL

I've got an OE cuckoo marans roo from Sally. I want to put him with the cochin/hona pullets so they keep their big size and feather legs. Maybe get some blue barring and tinted eggs? Or I could put him with EEs for better color on them.

Then I have the white EEs and legbar pullets I want to put with the sapphire roo, for more color and better laying. Actually my EEs are my best layers, so I have good potential there.

Love those too!  Do you know what color?

Black/white and I think maybe a tri-colored drake? They are from Sally.

I just seen a hawk outside too but its dusk

Dumb thing went quiet as soon as I went out so I never saw it.  Let out a scream as soon as I stepped back inside!  Older serama were all inside the coop and the serama youngsters in the garage, so they must be smarter than I give them credit for.

DH and I had some big talks today. I'm torn between downsizing for the future or building breed pens for the breeds.

My farm had been a dismal failure. I see mistakes (honas) as opportunities to learn and move forward. He sees a reason to quit and simplify.

I just really feel so strongly about the crosses I want to make. I think they'll be a better fit in this demographic.

You are too young to quit!   Listen to your gut and follow your dream!

I haven't sold any honas. I gave one away though. I've had them almost a year.
