the jury is still out as to how much a 3 month old chick should eat but thats not much.
TSC info says an adult laying hen eats about a ¼ lb of food per day, so 4 oz. Growing chick would need almost that, I'd expect.

what what I can find both grower and feather fixer are both 18% protein BUT feather fixer is more expensive

ff= 6.89 for 7 lbs

starter/grower= 13.59 for 40 lbs at the farm and fleet web site. @h2oratt

Hubs found a kestrel chewing on a wild quail out in the yard this evening! The quail are about the same size as my Serama! Guess they will be staying locked up for awhile.
