So heard from the yak man today. Miss hatchet (the one who knocked 1 of her horns off) should grow and new horn but they are going to separate her (in the same trailer as the rest ) so it doesn't get damaged on the trip. According to his vet , loosing the outer horn shell/covering would be like us ripping out our fingernail but leaving the nail bed intact. Gives me the willies thinking about that much exposed nerve endings. Porter likes his nose scratched but DO NOT touch his horns. Also will come to his name when called or if you rattle a grain bucket. He sounds like a very nice bull so you all especially Granny don't have to worry as much about Porter killing me.

Miss Hatchet will be treated like a princess unless she is barren for 3 years. The she will be treated with a little salt & pepper and a quick trip across the grill.
