    You can give them sprouts like you put on salad. Any salad greens, stems, ends they will scarf like candy. Just clean it good or get organic.

    I plant my kale in fall. It comes up and then stops till spring when it shoots up 6 feet. They jump to reach all the leaves and there are bare stems left. I bend some over and let some go to seed. I got a big bowl of seeds this summer. I can plant, sprout or feed them to the quail.

    @rIrs roost ^^^ X2! I always keep a flake of alfalfa hay in the run. They love digging for the leaves.Very high protein. We have nothing "free range" green in So cal. Kale and chard from the garden as well.
